One bright lawyer. One brilliant mistake.

In one horrible moment, for all the right reasons, our hero makes a wrong move—an ill-timed chuckle that makes a fast enemy of one powerful partner-in-training. the retribution that follows is quite possibly the most devastating, darkly comic portrayal ofthe punishment exceeding the crime in modern fiction…"Man Out of Time" by Jashlock on Ganxy

About the Author

Michael Hogan, a refugee from those big cities back east where, in his youth, he lawyered, partied, read everything, wrote novels and screenplays (one produced with Danny Aiello), painted portraits and all but wore himself out, now lives with his wife of ten years in Lakewood, Ohio, a quiet suburb west of Cleveland. He’s published two novels: Man Out Of Time (Random House) and Burial of the Dead (Thomas Dunne), an IndieNext selection. Both were critically acclaimed, described by Booklist as “witty and irreverent, Hogan’s offering makes you hope he has more stories to tell”, and by David Maine as “an impressively vicious, disorienting fever-dream that’ll keep you guessing–and most of the time your guesses will be wrong.” His two new novels, Dog Hills and Sistine, are available now from The Rogue Reader. Visit his author page to learn more about the making of Sistine and the visual art that organizes the book.
